WWW Wednesday: 16th October 2019

Squeezing in a Blogtober post before it’s been too many days since the last one! I’ve tried to put less pressure on myself this year and am just posting when I can rather than feeling like I have to post every day of the month. It’s working out okay! Anyway, back to today’s post – it’s Wednesday so of course it’s a WWW Wednesday!

What are you currently reading?

I’m half way through a couple of books, but I’m looking forward to a week off next week where I can really spend time getting stuck in!

What did you recently finish reading?

I had a bad day the other day, so my boyfriend suggested that I have a relaxing bath with a Lush bathbomb and read a book…I chose to read a shorter book and I really enjoyed it! It was the first book in The Big Top Mysteries series by Alexander McCall Smith and it had a lot of Enid Blyton vibes which I loved!

What do you think you’ll read next?

So I may have accidentally bought Christmas Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella which means a Shopaholic reread I think!

WWW Wednesday: 2nd October 2019

Goooood evening! It feels like I’ve barely read anything lately, hence the lack of WWW Wednesday posts – I’ve just been so exhausted and sleeping all the time! That said, I have started some fab books and can’t wait to be awake enough to continue reading them!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Gahhhhh, I don’t know where to start! Probably I’ll aim to actually finish a book…

WWW Wednesday: 12th June 2019

Hello! Whilst I haven’t read a lot this week, I’ve felt very bookish as two of my top books of 2019 are out this week and I’ve been really enjoying posting reviews online and doing some of my more recent blog posts (yesterday’s Top Ten Tuesday and The Cheesy Goodness Book Tag were so much fun!)

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently sat listening to the audiobook of Me Before You by Jojo Moyes and ahhhhh, it’s making me so happy because I love this story and it’s so British and wonderful! I know that it’s going to break me, again, but at the same time it’s so familiar that I’m really enjoying it.

I read You Got This by Bryony Gordon most recently, and I found it really good and interesting! I don’t tend to read non-fiction, but this one was really engaging and relevant.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I have so many books on my TBR, but one that I’m feeling in the mood for is We Hunt The Flame which I recently received on NetGalley.

Good evening! I’ve had a really good reading week this week; I’ve had a few days off work and have found a few titles that have really caught my imagination and have been ones that I just haven’t been able to put down!

So far this month I’ve read Stepsister by Jennifer Donnelly, and I’m so glad that I finally made the time to read this wonderful retelling! I also read Owen and the Soldier by Lisa Thompson which was beautiful, and Malamander by Thomas Taylor. Fun fact – he illustrated the original Harry Potter books!

What do you think you’ll read next?

WWW Wednesday: 1st May 2019

Good evening! I thought I’d check in with a WWW Wednesday post, seeing as I haven’t done one since March…

What are you currently reading?

I won a finished copy of Step Sister by Jennifer Donnelly (you may remember it from March when I received a proof) and I know I really need to get my bum into gear and read it! I honestly did love what I read, but have just not had enough focus for a fantasy book, but I’m planning on going to bed early tonight and reading!

What did you recently finish reading?

I read a whole book last week (hurrah!) and I LOVED it! It was The Paper & Hearts Society by Lucy Powrie, and I can’t wait to get reviewing whilst I eagerly wait for it to publish so I can reread it!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I don’t know to be honest haha! I’m still working my way through my April TBR…

Hello! I’m sorry that I’ve gone AWOL again; life has gotten very hectic! My boyfriend and I are in the process of buying a flat and it all came along very quickly so that’s taking up a fair amount of time! However, in anticipation of the move, I’ve been having a clear out and am so proud of how much stuff and how many books I’ve managed to unhaul! A year ago I never thought I’d be able to do what I have. Me 1, anxiety 0.

What are you currently reading?

I have found a little bit of time this week to get started on an AMAZING book – Step Sister by Jennifer Donnelly. I’m hooked and can’t wait to get a decent chunk of time to dedicate to getting lost in this book because it’s brilliant so far. I’m also listening to the audiobook of Love Lessons by Jacqueline Wilson, which is an old favourite. I’ve loved making sure that I just listen to fifteen minutes a day and it helps me to unwind a bit!

Most recently I read The Near Witch by VE Schwab, which was such a brilliant short read! I was captivated by the world of Near and the story of the Near Witch. It came out this week, so I highly recommend getting a copy!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I need to get around to finishing How To Make Friends With The Dark by Kathleen Glasgow. I started it before Christmas, and unfortunately didn’t get a chance to come back to it, so I can’t wait to continue because I loved what I read.

My current read is still I Owe You One by Sophie Kinsella; I finally bought a pretty proper copy and so I’m very excited to get stuck in properly!

What did you recently finish reading?

I read Happy Girl Lucky yesterday and I LOVED IT! It’s such a fluffy yet important teen book and it gave me all the feels. Please excuse the darkness of my picture of the eBook – I live in the UK where I get like a matter of hours a day in decent light, but I also work full time so rarely see those hours! This weekend, I shall show off my shiny finished copy that I bought yesterday!

I also read Tad by Benji Davies today; it’s so cute and I can’t wait to see it all finished and in proper book form!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m not too sure yet; I have a few proofs headed my way and some eBooks to make my way through, so I shall see what I fancy!

This week I’ve not really got around to reading much; it’s been rather hectic and I’ve just felt too tired to read! That said, I’ve started two books that, from what little I’ve read, are really good, and I’ve spent a lot of time reading tweets…that counts right?!
