WWW Wednesday: 4th July 2018

I’m really looking forward to today; I’m off to Birmingham for an Orion book blogger event which is my first one! I’m not too sure what to expect and am a bit nervous, but it should be good!

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading Daniel Daniels and the World’s Worst Zoo by Robbie Yates, which I’m on the blog tour for this week. It should be a fairly quick read as it’s a younger reader book, and so far I’m enjoying it!

the kissing booth
What did you recently finish reading?

The Kissing Booth. I’m now listening to the audiobook. I love it so much. Full review to come, but the Netflix adaptation was actually really good and true to the book.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m going to make my way through all the books I have on NetGalley to read so that I get up to 100% feedback!

How is it already Wednesday?! The weeks just go so quickly!

What are you currently reading?

I’ve just finished my latest read so haven’t had a chance to start anything new, but I am fairly certain it will be The Kissing Booth…I have watched the film over 10 times now, and started listening to the audiobook haha!

floored
What did you recently finish reading?

Flooooooored! I really enjoyed this book, as I knew I would, because the writing was just fantastic with a story that kept you hooked. I’d love to know who wrote which bits because it all fitted together so well!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I still have a load on NetGalley that I need to get on top of, which I am slowly doing! Up next I have a couple of blog tour books to read and The Kissing Booth.

WWW Wednesday: 16th May 2018

Hello! I’ve had a day off today which I spent at Cadbury World and Astley Book Farm which was lovely, and I’m writing this post as I get ready to go to the RSC to see Macbeth – get me being all cultured!

my box-shaped heart

What are you currently reading?

Slightly cheating with the picture here because I literally just finished this one today – but it deserves a shoutout. I really enjoyed My Box-Shaped Heart by Rachael Lucas and can’t wait to get it reviewed either tonight or tomorrow when it comes out!

no sad songs

What did you recently finish reading?

Review is coming for this next month when I’m part of the blog tour (!) but I finished No Sad Songs this week and I am definitely going to be giving it a good review; I loved it!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I have a few Little People Big Dreams books to read on NetGalley, then I shall probably start either the new Secret Seven book or Tradition by Brendan Kiely.

WWW Wednesday: 9th May 2018

Hello and happy Wednesday! I am so tired, so very much looking forward to a day off tomorrow! I’m spending this evening blogging and reading so I can relax a bit. This week has been a fairly good reading week…

What are you currently reading?

No Sad Songs by Frank Morelli; I’m on the blog tour for this in July (my first one, I’m so excited!) and so I thought I ought to get to it soon! I am absolutely loving it and finding it such a good book that I find difficult to put down, so I can’t wait to review it!

we are young

What did you recently finish reading?

This week I read We Are Young by Cat Clarke – I really enjoyed this one, and was so glad it lived up to the reviews I’ve heard about it before it came out! Cat Clarke is so good at dealing with mental health and creating a mystery that keeps you hooked.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I still have a few books for May to read so I really want to get to them! Next up is possibly My Box-Shaped Heart by Rachael Lucas – I’m hearing such good stuff about it and it comes out next week.

WWW Wednesday: 2nd May 2018

How is it already May?! I’ve had to focus a lot on uni this week so haven’t had a chance to read much, but I’ve still read a bit!

we are young

What are you currently reading?

I started We Are Young by Cat Clarke today, so far so good! I love her writing style and it’s so easy to get in to her books. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this latest title which comes out tomorrow!

What did you recently finish reading?

This week I read a picture book – Monty and Sylvester, which was alright! I also half read How To Write a Love Story by Katy Cannon, which also comes out tomorrow, which, whilst it started out pretty good, ended up being way too fluffy for me!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I want to read Skylarks by Karen Gregory next, and give Wingbound by Heather Trim another go as I’m more into fantasy at the minute than I was when I first started it!

WWW Wednesday: 25th April 2018

It’s that time of week again – hello and happy Wednesday! This has been one of my favourite reading weeks this year…you’ll see why!

What are you currently reading?

I’ve just started How to Write a Love Story by Katy Cannon, and whilst I’m not far into it it’s pretty good so far! It seems like a fairly light contemporary.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished Legendary this week and OMG! It was even better than Caraval and I just want to experience the magic all over again!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I have a load of May releases to get on with so probably one of those! I’m tempted to start We Are Young by Cat Clarke next.

WWW Wednesday: 18th April 2018

Hellooooo! Sorry it’s been so quiet on here this week – new job means lots of learning so I’m exhausted but happy! Anyway, I’ve found time for a little bit of reading…

legendary

What are you currently reading?

LEGENDARY. IT. IS. AMAZING. I actually am loving it more than Caraval so far, which is saying something because I loved Caraval!

i was born for this

What did you recently finish reading?

I’m just gonna carry on plugging I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman. LOVE LOVE LOVE. If you have the opportunity to read it now, read it. If you don’t, put it on your May TBR.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’ve been approved for more books on NetGalley so I shall just read whatever takes my fancy next! I have just been sent an ARC for a book blog I’m taking part in in the next few months so I shall probably start that too!

WWW Wednesday: 7th March 2018

Hellooo! It’s that time of the week again yay! I’ve read quite a bit this week even though it’s been a fairly busy week – having a snow day on Friday really helped!

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading St Grizzle’s School for Girls, Geeks and Tag-along Zombies. I’m kind of enjoying it; I imagine that when I was younger I would have really enjoyed it, but I’m finding it a bit slow and lacking substance. I’m also reading Suffragette by David Roberts which is so informative and beautiful – I’m loving it! The only issue is, because it’s a NetGalley title, the text has got a bit jumbled up in places on my Kindle app.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished two books this week – More Than We Can Tell by Brigid Kemmerer, and The Truth About Alice by Jennifer Mathieu. I loved both of them and have rated them both 4*. More Than We Can Tell is set in the same world as Letters To The Lost which was really nice! It was good to be able to go back and see Rev’s story. The Truth About Alice I just couldn’t put down; it was such a good read! The only thing that let it down was that it didn’t really conclude as such and I felt like I hadn’t really got enough out of it; there was a lot of potential. Nevertheless, I did really enjoy it and think it does carry an important message.

What do you think you’ll read next?

So many books, too little time! Next from my ever-growing TBR, I think I’ll read The List of Real Things by Sarah Moore Fitzgerald, Wingbound by Heather Trim and The Astonishing Colour of After by Emily X R Pan.

WWW Wednesday: 28th February 2018

Hellooo again! The week seems to have flown by since last Wednesday – I can barely remember what I’ve been up to! But I know I’ve been fairly busy since I’ve not had a chance to read too much, but I’ve still done okay!

What are you currently reading?

I’ve just started on More Than We Can Tell by Brigid Kemmerer and I’m already over half way through; it’s so good! It’s been so long since I requested it that I totally forgot it’s set in the same “world” as that in Letters From The Lost which I love – it’s really nice to get to know Rev better. One thing I’m really liking so far is that although it deals with child abuse, it’s not so hard-hitting that it’s an unpleasant read unlike some books I’ve read. I’m definitely hooked!

What did you recently finish reading?

Last week I finished Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley which I really enjoyed – it was a fairly light read despite some heavier topics. I think the only thing I didn’t like so much is that none of the characters really stayed with me after reading it – there was something underwhelming about their personalities. Nevertheless, it was a good story!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’ve got so many ARCs to plod through – I think that next I’ll read The Truth About Alice by Jennifer Mathieu as that one comes out next week so I’d like to have it read before. Another one I just got approved for that’s out next week is St Grizzle’s School for Girls, Geeks and Tag-along Zombies by Karen McCombie so I shall try to squeeze that in too!

WWW Wednesday: 21st February 2018

I wanted to do a post yesterday for Top Ten Tuesday, but it was my birthday so I didn’t get around to it! I’m now 24!

This week has been a good reading week – I was locked away in a cabin for the weekend with my bestie so I got a lot of reading done, then I got a load of gorgeous books for my birthday that I’m hoping to get to soon!

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley which comes out on 5th April in the UK. I’m really enjoying what I’ve read; it’s a fairly light contemporary that’s really easy to get into!

What did you recently finish reading?

This week I finished two books which I LOVED – reviews coming soon for both! Firstly, there was The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven which comes out next month and had me thinking and laughing. Then, I also read A Spoonful of Murder, the latest Robin Stevens Murder Most Unladylike book, which I absolutely adored (as I had no doubt I would!)

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next up, I plan to read Brigid Kemmerer’s More Than We Can Tell so I have it read before its publication at the beginning of March. I received this on NetGalley a while ago so really need to read it!
