WWW Wednesday: 13th February 2019

Good evening! This has been a very varied week full of emotions and hormones, yet I’ve got lots of reading done compared to lately and I’ve had a some really good posts on here what with the The Star-Spun Web Blog Tour and the The Year After You Blog Tour!

What are you currently reading?

My current read is still I Owe You One by Sophie Kinsella; I finally bought a pretty proper copy and so I’m very excited to get stuck in properly!

What did you recently finish reading?

I read Happy Girl Lucky yesterday and I LOVED IT! It’s such a fluffy yet important teen book and it gave me all the feels. Please excuse the darkness of my picture of the eBook – I live in the UK where I get like a matter of hours a day in decent light, but I also work full time so rarely see those hours! This weekend, I shall show off my shiny finished copy that I bought yesterday!

I also read Tad by Benji Davies today; it’s so cute and I can’t wait to see it all finished and in proper book form!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m not too sure yet; I have a few proofs headed my way and some eBooks to make my way through, so I shall see what I fancy!

This week I’ve not really got around to reading much; it’s been rather hectic and I’ve just felt too tired to read! That said, I’ve started two books that, from what little I’ve read, are really good, and I’ve spent a lot of time reading tweets…that counts right?!

I’m currently reading I Owe You One by Sophie Kinsella, which, no surprises, is off to a good start! I love Sophie’s writing style so it’s nice to be back reading one of her books. I’ve also started The Valentines: Happy Girl Lucky by Holly Smale, which, again, is very good so far!

I think I shall continue working my way through my NetGalley list, and get on with reading The Colour of Shadows by Phyllida Shrimpton!

Next up…I got approved for I Owe You One by Sophie Kinsella on NetGalley, and so I think I shall pretend to be a grown up and read that one next!

Hello and welcome to the first WWW Wednesday of 2019 (that I’ve done)! I’ve had a fairly hectic week, but have still been enjoying some books of course! I’ve been so exhausted, that all I want to do is chill when I get home from work and be lazy, so I’ve spent a lot of time on Pinterest where I’ve been planning my wedding…awkward moment of the week when I got a call from a venue (I downloaded their brochure the day before just to have a mooch) and had to explain that I am not actually engaged…yet!

What are you currently reading?

FINALLY, I’ve started reading Enchantée by Gita Trelease which I am LOVING so much! It’s absolutely wonderful. The description is definitely right; it has a lot of Caraval vibes, and, because I needed a new audiobook, I also started The Night Circus which was also listed! I’m really enjoying that too, especially since the narrator, Jim Kay, is brilliant!

the year after you
What did you recently finish reading?

I finished The Year After You last week, and it was such a good read! YA meets Enid Blyton; it was brilliant. Look out for my thoughts on this next month when I’m part of the blog tour!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I must read The Day I Was Erased by Lisa Thompson! Her books are always a fab start tot the year!

WWW Wednesday: 5th December 2018

Hello and welcome to my first WWW Wednesday of Blogmas 2018! I’ve slowed down my reading a little bit this week; I’ve had another exam for work (passed, yay!) and am starting to prepare for Christmas and Blogmas meaning that I just haven’t had a chance to read!

What are you currently reading?

I started How To Make Friends With The Dark by Kathleen Glasgow last week after being very lucky and getting sent a beautiful proof copy! I loved Girl in Pieces so had high hopes for this book, and so far am definitely not disappointed! The only reason I’ve stalled a bit is because I just can’t put it down once I start reading so I need time!

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished Opposite of Always by Justin A. Reynolds, which I actually really enjoyed! I also got sent a copy of The Story Orchestra: The Nutcracker by Jessica Courtney-Tickle, just in time for the Christmas season!

WWW Wednesday: 14th November 2018

It’s been a MyKindaBook week – I got approved on Friday on NetGalley for three of 2019’s most exciting titles so that threw all my murder mystery plans out of the window!

img_3579
What are you currently reading?

I expected to like Opposite of Always by Justin A. Reynolds, but I didn’t expect to be as hooked as I am! It’s such a good YA contemporary with a little dash of time-travel, which made me a bit hesitant at first, but I’m loving it!

img_3588
What did you recently finish reading?

FIERCE FRAGILE HEARTS BY SARA BARNARD. AND YES, IT’S GOING TO LIVE UP TO THE HYPE BECAUSE IT’S AMAZING. I’m just glad that I have other good contemporaries to read otherwise I think I would’ve been left in a massive book hangover from this one!

I also read The Story Orchestra: The Sleeping Beauty this week – it’s my favourite in the series! It’s just a stunning book that I would highly recommend for everyone who loves music and fairytales, and it would make the perfect gift.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Last but not least from my NetGalley recent approvals is Enchantée by Gita Trelease. I’ve been so excited for this ever since I saw the image of the proof on Twitter (it’s STUNNING) – France, revolution, YA…what’s not to love?! I can’t wait to get stuck in.

WWW Wednesday: 7th November 2018

I’m so mad that I forgot to do this last week – it was the last day of Blogtober too! Anyway, I’ve read a fair bit this week considering that I have a load of exams and studying to do for my job, and I bought two BEAUTIFUL picture books!

What are you currently reading?

I’m really in the mood for middle grade mysteries at the minute since my last couple of reads, so I am about to start Peril in Paris! It’s long overdue!

What did you recently finish reading?

I think I’ve found my new favourite Murder Most Unladylike book – Death in the Spotlight! It was just such an intricate and gripping murder mystery!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next up I think I shall continue making my way through my NetGalley TBR…I haven’t decided which one yet!

WWW Wednesday: 24th October 2018

Evening! I’m back at work after a week off so it shall be interesting to see if I can keep going with my goal of reading each week!

What are you currently reading?

I’ve not really read much this week since the weekend, so I’m still in the process of deciding what to read next!

the truth pixie
What did you recently finish reading?

I read a few books this week – all for younger readers of course! I read Amelia Fang and the Barbaric Ball, The Bandit Queen and The Truth Pixie. I loved all three of these for different reasons, but the real stand out title has to be The Truth Pixie, which has been likened as a “Reasons to Stay Alive for 7 year olds”.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m really in the mood to read Which Witch, especially since it’s Halloween next week!

WWW Wednesday: 17th October 2018

Good evening! It’s day 17 of Blogtober which I am still doing and am so proud of myself for! I’ve had a bit of a refresh on the blog this week and have new header images, and am working on improving my reviews and posts so that they just look better in general – any feedback would be amazing please and thank you!

What are you currently reading?

I’ve just started the Amelia Fang series which I bought purely for it being Laura Ellen Anderson – it’s the cutest series! I keep buying the next book without having even started the first, so I figured it’s about time I did.

wish for a witch
